BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Great Christmas Project today announced its launch as a new charitable giving movement with a self-sustaining model: artists donate original artwork, that artwork becomes products people love — Christmas cards, prints, ornaments, and gifts — and every purchase funds free toys, books, and Christmas experiences for children in need.
The project launches with four programs: Squishies From Santa (children's gifts), Santa's Free Store (a free shopping experience where children choose their own gifts), Artists for Santa (the creator movement, now recruiting its first 100 founding artists), and Books From Santa (literacy).

Each artist donates one original work, which is transformed into products sold to fund children's gifts — with artist credit on every product and a place on the Artists of Santa wall.
